Common Questions

• How do I create a song? Tap the + button on the main screen to create a new song. Add sections and chords to build your song structure.
• How do I add custom chord diagrams? Tap any chord, then tap the fretboard icon to open the chord editor. You can customize finger positions and save them for reuse.
• How do I export my songs? Type #options in the search bar to access the Export feature, which creates a backup file of all your songs.
• How do I restore a purchase? Go to the upgrade screen and tap "Restore Purchases" to restore any previous subscriptions.

Overview

Just The Chords is designed with your privacy in mind. We believe your music and creative work should remain yours, stored securely on your device.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Here's how your information is handled:

• Songs and Chord Diagrams: All your songs, chord diagrams, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure local storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
• No Analytics: We do not use any analytics or tracking services.
• No Account Required: The app works entirely offline and does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information.

In-App Purchases

If you choose to subscribe to premium features, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status.

• We receive only an anonymous identifier to verify your subscription status.
• We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or other personal details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. Your songs and creative work remain entirely on your device.

Data Security

Your data is stored using iOS's secure local storage mechanisms. We recommend enabling device passcode/Face ID for additional protection.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: View all your data directly in the app
• Export: Use the export feature to create backups
• Delete: Delete individual songs or uninstall the app to remove all data

Children's Privacy

Just The Chords does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from any user.
